A Bit About Me

Hi, my name is Aja. I majored in photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York for a year, learning the basics of film photography, best practices for studio lighting, and critical thinking within the subject. I also spent a little over a year at a photo studio, working hands on with many creatives. 

 I have had the honor of photographing people of different origins, lifestyles, and career paths for over a decade; I've come across actors, dancers, models, musicians, and artists of many other forms.

It's more than lights, hair and clothes. The best photos I've taken tell a story. Even headshots can summon a feeling when composition is done right. 

With my camera, I capture the beauty of what's real.  Whether it's fashion shows, music festivals, parades, or just sights that surround me... capturing the best moments in the best way brings me so much joy, and I hope I can bring that to others through my photography.
